- March 2021 rents increase 0.8% from February 2021. CCR, RCR and OCR rents increase by 1.2%, 0.4% and 0.9% respectively.
- Year-on-year, overall rents increase by 2.4% from March 2020.
- Year-on-year, rents in CCR, RCR and OCR increase by 0.3%, 1.5% and 4.4% respectively.
- Rents are down 13.2% from the peak in January 2013.
- Volumes increase 32.4% month-on-month. An estimated 5,118 units are rented in March 2021 as compared to 3,865 units in February 2021.
- Year-on-year, rental volumes are 3.1% lower.
- Volumes are 0.3% lower than the 5-year average volume for the month of March.
- Breaking down by regions, in March 2021, 39.3% of the total volumes are from OCR, 32.0% from RCR and 28.7% from CCR.
B. HDB Rental Market
- March 2021 HDB rents increase 0.5% from February 2021. Mature and Non-Mature Estates rents increase by 0.2% and 0.8% respectively. 3 Room, 4 Room, 5 Room and Executive rents increase by 0.4%, 0.7%, 0.3% and 0.3% respectively.
- Year-on-year, overall rents increase by 3.4%.
- Year-on-year, Mature Estates and Non-Mature Estates rents increase by 2.0% and 5.0% respectively.
- Year-on-year, all room types record rent increases: 3 Room by 3.1%, 4 Room by 4.5%, 5 Room by 3.1% and Executive rents by 1.0%.
- Rents are down 11.2% from the peak in August 2013.
- Volumes increase 41.2% month-on-month. An estimated 1,983 HDB flats are rented in March 2021 versus 1,404 units in February 2021.
- Year-on-year, rental volumes decrease by 7.9% from March 2020.
- Volumes are 12.5% lower than the 5-year average volume for the month of March.
- Breaking down by room types, in March 2021, 35.2% of the total volumes are from 4 Room, 33.8% from 3 Room, 25.0% from 5 Room and 6.1% from Executive.
