With the final BTO sales launch for 2019 happening this month, we dive a little deeper into the various sales launches – namely in the estates of Tengah, Tampines and Ang Mo Kio.
For this piece, we find out more on the upcoming Ang Mo Kio BTO – such as the number of units, estimated costs and also the facilities around the area and in the estate, you’ll be able to enjoy should you decide to bid for these particular BTO flats in Ang Mo Kio!
Out of the estimated 4,560 BTO units that will be launching this month, there will be 450 2-room flexi, 3-room and 4-room units up for bids in the Ang Mo Kio area. An interesting point to note is that this will be the first BTO launch in Ang Mo Kio since 2016.
The Ang Mo Kio BTO flats are located in a prime location along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9. The biggest upside is the flats’ location to the Yio Chu Kang (YCK) transportation hub with both the YCK MRT station and bus interchange offering many conveniences to future residents. On top of that, residents will be able to get easy access to Lentor MRT station that’s set to be completed in 2020. The Lentor MRT station is around a 10-minutes’ walk and will provide residents access to the Thomson East Coast line.
Another huge plus point for those who have or are looking at having a family down the road is that there are several schools in the immediate vicinity, with Presbyterian High School and Anderson Primary School located right by the flats. There are still numerous schools around the area such as Mayflower Primary School, Yio Chu Kang Secondary School, CHIJ St. Nicholas Primary & Secondary School, Anderson Serangoon Junior College and Nanyang Polytechnic.
There’s no excuse to not keep active and fit when there are numerous sports facilities located close by such as the Yio Chu Kang Sports Hall, Stadium, Swimming Complex and even a Squash and Tennis Centre!
While there are no retail malls nearby, you can head on over to the Ang Mo Kio central region for several shopping complexes such as Djitsun Mall, Ang Mo Kio Hub, Broadway Plaza and Jubilee Square. As for your groceries and daily essentials, there are three supermarkets less than 1.5km away, which is around a 15-minute walk.
Also, should you have any sudden health emergencies (touch wood!), the Ang Mo Kio – Thye Hua Kuan Hospital is right opposite.
While HDB has yet to announce the launch prices for the November 2019 BTO sales launch, the estimated price is from $142,000 onwards (for 2-room flexi) based on the prices from the last Ang Mo Kio BTO launch in 2016.
