Extreme Luxury Home perched on the deceptively central region of Singapore within proximity to Shangri-La Hotel. This home challenges the architects to redefine tropical modern living and reflect the owner’s love for art.
Location is one thing but capitalizing on it was the whole different story. Beautiful piece of land sitting almost at the TOP of the hill and the view at the side is amazing to the TOP floor. The main thing was that the Owner needed to open the house to look at this view and you’ll see open deck areas, balconies and roof terraces. And so in the creation of this unusual external structure which directs all attention exactly where it needs to go. Roof responds to the whole design approach. The more close side of the house is where the corridors are and on the open side that’s where we have located all the rooms.
4 bedrooms + a separate guest room, a fully equipped cinema and entertainment room and a 6 car basement garage of effectively situated to maximise the property’s 12,000 sq ft area sitting on a 16,000 sq ft land.
And the flow through the House was of paramount importance when developing the concept. As you come into the house there is this gradual revelation of all the spaces, lots of surprise elements and lots of discoveries as you walk all the way through the house. The main staircase at the front takes you to the main spaces, the living room, the dining room, the kitchen at 1st floor takes you to the 2nd level where there are 3 bedrooms and a sitting area and at the TOP floor is the entire master bedroom wing. It’s got a private living room, bedroom, study and a bathroom and the entire length of the master bedroom suite opens up through sliding glass doors onto a big roof terrace. Amazing paronamic view once you step onto the balcony.
A true masterpiece that effectively and harmoniously combines arts and architecture, now that’s Luxury Truly Extreme !
