A. Condo Rental Market
- September 2022 rents climb by 3.3% from August 2022. CCR, RCR and OCR rents increase by 2.6%, 3.9% and 3.3% respectively.
- Year-on-year, overall rents increase by 30.9% from September 2021.
- Year-on-year, rents in CCR, RCR and OCR increase by 29.3%, 31.8% and 31.3% respectively.
- Volumes increase by 9.8% month-on-month. An estimated 4,760 units are rented in September 2022 as compared to 4,334 units rented in August 2022.
- Year-on-year, rental volumes are 1.9% higher.
- Volumes are 5.6% higher than the 5-year average volume for the month of September.
- Breaking it down by region, in September 2022, 38.0% of the total volumes are from OCR, 35.3% from RCR and 26.7% from CCR.
B. HDB Rental Market
- September 2022 HDB rents increase by 3.2% from August 2022. Mature and Non-Mature Estates rents increase by 3.3% and 3.1% respectively. Meanwhile, 3 Room, 4 Room, 5 Room and Executive rents increase by 4.4%, 1.2%, 4.8% and 3.3%.
- Year-on-year, overall rents increase by 24.7%.
- Year-on-year, Mature Estates and Non-Mature Estates rents increase by 24.0% and 25.5% respectively.
- Year-on-year, all room types record rent increases: 3 Room by 25.3%, 4 Room by 22.5%, 5 Room by 27.9% and Executive rents by 23.3%.
- Volumes increase by 0.3% month-on-month. An estimated 1,809 HDB flats are rented in September 2022 compared to 1,803 units in August 2022.
