Residents of Sembawang can look forward to a new community hub comprising a polyclinic, hawker centre and sports facilities, local GRC MP Lim Wee Kiak revealed on Sunday (March 11).

Work on the new hub, near Sembawang MRT station, will start in the second half of this year and take about three years to complete.

"When completed, residents can look forward to another location where they can enjoy greenery, and recreational and sporting activities," Dr Lim told reporters on the sidelines of the annual Canberra Day event at Sembawang Close. "It will be one for the community to come together."
