Across the nine BTO locations in the four BTO launches 2017, there had been 17,311 BTO transactions. And within these nine BTO locations, there were 9,233 HDB resale transactions.

As the most popular BTO location in 2017 with a total of 3,734 transactions, Sengkang had two BTO launches located at Rivervale Shores in August 2017 and Fernvale/ Anchorvale Village in November 2017.
Sengkang means "prosperous harbour" in Chinese. The name is derived from a road called Lorong Sengkang, off Lorong Buangkok.
Before the town was developed into a modern housing estate, Sengkang was filled with pig farms and tropical vegetation.
And today, Sengkang is home to more than 186,500 HDB residents.
The second most contested BTO location, with a total of 2,830 BTO transactions, is Tampines.. Tampines had BTO launches at Tampines Green Bloom/ Green Flora in February 2017 and Tampines Green Court in November 2017.
Tampines is home to the nation’s first integrated community and lifestyle hub. Singapore's first model cycling town has a bike path which links Tampines Changkat Community Club, Tampines Round Market and Food Centre, as well as the HDB neighbourhood shops.
Also located at the North-East Region, Punggol had a total of 2,203 BTO transactions. Punggol also had 2 BTO launches at Northshore Cove/ Waterway Sunrise II in February 2017 and Northshore Edge in November 2017.
One of the oldest settlements in Singapore, Punggol is believed to have existed 200 years ago before Sir Stamford Raffles founded Singapore.
Punggol was a well-established rural district filled with several farmhouses, mainly populated by Teochews.During the Second World War in 1942, about 400 Chinese civilians were massacred by the Japanese military forces at Punggol Beach as part of the Sook Ching Massacre. Now, Punggol Beach is marked as a national heritage site.
Selected as the first eco-town in Singapore, Punggol is projected to have 96,000 units when fully developed, with about 3,000 new flats built every year.
